This series creates a supportive space to ask questions, learn yoga terminology, build body awareness, and gain confidence in foundational poses without pressure or comparison.
The most valuable thing I learned [in Foundations] was that our core is so powerful in its ability to stabilize us and that it wants to stabilize us. Getting my core online before going on a hike, running, or even doing the dishes has helped me feel more stable and has even reduced back pain.
I would definitely recommend this series to others. I learned so many ques and quick movements that help my body feel aligned and stable. I think everyone can benefit from support to improve their posture. I have started doing scapula retraction and protraction every day, and it has really helped my upper back and the back of my neck feel less sore in the mornings.
I feel more excited to take some basic-level classes because I have a better understanding of what certain poses should actually feel like and how my body is benefiting from them. I have been doing down dogs for years, but it wasn't until your class that I found a way to do it that actually challenged my body. I also plan to start using blocks to go from down dog to 90/90 because it really helped me to bring my foot forward in one fluid motion.
