Welcome to Yogaja’s Sunrise Sweat and Sculpt! A full body, comprehensive, morning program.  Rise with empowering classes Monday through Friday from 6 AM to 7 AM, and Saturdays from 8 AM to 9 AM, specifically tailored to strengthen your deep core, boost endurance, and improve overall well-being.

WHAT IS LYT YOGA®?

LYT Method® founder, Lara Heimann’s knowledge of body mechanics began while working on her BA from Duke University in Biological Anthropology and Anatomy, an MS from Duke University in Physical Therapy, and a Neurodevelopmental Training Certification through Stanford University.

 

In 1999, after several years of yoga practice and teaching, Lara took a 200-hour yoga teacher training and was shocked to learn that most yoga doesn’t inform about body awareness and mechanics. In the years to follow, Lara created her LYT Method®, combining physiology, kinesiology, neurology, and functional movement patterns to yield a more cohesive philosophy.

At its core, LYT Yoga is physically challenging, particularly for the core. It places a strong emphasis on engaging and strengthening the core muscles to support the body in various yoga poses and movements. By consciously activating the core muscles, practitioners can enhance their stability, improve posture, and prevent injuries.

LYT Yoga classes typically involve a dynamic flow of movements that are carefully sequenced to build strength and flexibility while promoting proper alignment. Through mindful awareness and intentional engagement of muscles, practitioners learn to move with greater efficiency and ease, both on and off the yoga mat.

In summary, LYT Yoga offers a holistic approach to yoga practice that not only challenges the body but also nurtures the mind and spirit. It is a powerful tool for cultivating physical strength, mental resilience, and overall well-being, making it an ideal practice for individuals seeking a balanced and transformative yoga experience.
