On the fourth Thursday of each November, Americans gather around tables laden with an abundance of food, and we GIVE THANKS. Many people say Thanksgiving is their favorite holiday. It may be due to the fact we are surrounded by our family and friends, but I believe it is the act of GRATITUDE
that resonates with us.
Study after study shows that giving GRATITUDE leads to a healthier, happier life. Could a daily act, so small, make such a difference? Let’s find out…
Join us throughout the month of November and commit to starting, or continuing, a practice of GRATITUDE. It couldn’t be easier:
Each day bring to mind, or write down, five things you are GRATEFUL for. Get creative and try not to repeat something. As an example, instead of writing, “I am grateful for my child,” think of something more specific. “I am grateful that my child shared her hilarious story with me.”
This practice trains our mind and heart to focus on the positive things in our lives, instead of the negative. Each day is filled with so many wondrous happenings, and we just need to write down five of them. As time goes by, you will start to see that not only are you are noticing things you used to take for granted, but now you are giving GRATITUDE for them.
Head over to Yogaja and share one of your thoughts of gratitude on our GRATITUDE GRAFFITI WALL. We’ll have it up throughout the month to help remind us of the many blessings we all have in our lives. We’ll also be posting gratitude quotes and thoughts on Facebook and Instagram all month long.
Finally, we want to say THANK YOU to all of you who bless us with your presence each day at Yogaja. By way of showing our GRATITUDE, we will offer our monthly unlimited package for only $84. Your card will be charged each month, but you may cancel at anytime with 30 days written notice. We hope this offer will help you establish a meaningful yoga practice… along with your GRATITUDE practice!
With GRATITUDE and joy,
Margaret
