You may recognize Katie from classes at Yogaja--she is an avid student of yoga. Even though she became a certified yoga teacher back in 2013, she wasn’t able to commit to teaching yoga while finishing her graduate degree and working, so we are lucky that her schedule finally cleared enough to claim her as part of the Yogaja Herd!
Katie started practicing yoga 10 years ago after a swimming injury. When she isn't teaching yoga, she is a therapist and professor. She genuinely loves teaching and helping people in whatever way she can,
She also holds some impressive titles: PhD, LPC, CWC and Assistant Professor at Spring Arbor University. She describes counseling as “a professional relationship that empowers diverse individuals, families, and groups to accomplish mental health, wellness, education, and career goals.
Katie teaches All-Level Flow at Yogaja Downtown (701 Madison Ave.) at noon on Wednesdays.
