Yogaja is lucky to have experienced teachers who bring a wealth of knowledge and background to the mat. Cynthia Taylor, while new to the Yogaja herd, has been teaching classic Pilates for 25 years.
Cynthia is a Pilates Method Alliance certified Pilates teacher. She has studied with four of the six first generation teachers under Joseph H. Pilates and holds certificates of her extensive studies with them. She continues to bring her passion for Pilates by training others to teach “true,” classic Pilates.
Pilates Mat focuses on core stability and strength, offering a challenging mat workout. Cynthia includes exercises that test your balance so you can work on training the proprioceptive system for functional movement. She encourages you to work to your edge where you can really challenge your balance, symmetry and core so you can build strength in your whole body.
Pilates Mat is offered on Wednesdays at noon in the downstairs Flowt studio, located at the back of The Yogaja Shop.
