Those who takes Christopher’s classes express a similar sentiment: his classes are different. Christopher is trained in the Sivananda method and focuses on pranayama--the formal practice of controlling the breath--while infusing his many teachings into his classes.
For over 4 years, Christopher was on staff at the Sivananda Yoga Ranch in upstate New York as their head chef. He also had a few stints at the Sivananda centers in NYC and Chicago.
He completed his 200-hour teacher training at the Sivananda Yoga Ranch in March of 2015 and started teaching immediately. Christopher continued on to earn his 500-hour advanced teacher training at the Sivananda Ashram in Madurai, India in early 2017. He has assisted yoga teacher training courses in upstate New York and Kerala, India.
When Christopher isn’t practicing yoga or meditating, you can find him reading, taking photos, composing music, hiking, and learning about massage. He is an aspiring massage therapist and hopes to attend a massage program in the fall.
Christopher teaches Hatha Yoga on Wednesdays at noon.
